Playing in your hometown is nerve racking. In our case I think it’s due to a strong desire to exceed expectations and make the most of our time with familiar faces.

We do not play “Live Fish shows” at home very often at all. We lead worship several times a year at various events, and we play for the kids at our church’s VBS, but rock shows at home are actually rare. (...by design :))

So… This past Wednesday we were invited by the EGAT program to play some of our new music for middle school & high school students from several area schools in a special assembly. It was a fantastic time with new and old friends. We even had a chance to play a Taylor Swift cover, and that always makes for a good day!

I am being completely honest when I say that the EGAT students of Pulaski County completely exceeded OUR expectations and provided one of OUR favorite shows of 2011. Thanks for a great time! ....and video is on the way!

How do you feel about your music service automatically sharing with facebook?

9/10/11 - Rock The Universe - Universal Studios - Orlando, FL

9/10/11 - Rock the Universe - Orlando FL

MINT! Could a day be any more perfect?

Aggs & Adrialla were our tour guides and took us all over the park where we explored Harry Potter world, Marvel Super Hero Island, and the Universal Studios backlot. We played quiddich, fought mummies, shot aliens with Will Smith, and met Spiderman. Let’s just call it a WAY better than average day. Huge thanks goes out to the Universal Studios staff for taking such good care of us, and their over-the-top awesomeness and professionalism.
It was really cool to play in front of such a lovely and amped up group of friends. We busted out a brand new tune called “Mind Game” along with new tunes “Home” and “Broken People”. We are really excited to start to play some of the new material that will be on the new album, and hope that in the weeks to come a few more will make their way into the set.

Today was also a homecoming of sorts for Dustin and guitar player Mark. Dustin grew up just a few miles away in Plant City and Mark grew up in Lakeland. They really enjoyed connecting and catching up with so many friends, and meeting a whole lot of new ones as well.

and oh yeah... Red, Relient K, & Casting Crowns were incredible! It is always an honor to share the stage with those guys.

Thank you central Florida for making our first trip to the Sunshine State such a memorable one!

9/8/2011 - Gainesville FL

9/8/11 - Gainesville FL

After driving all night to make a 10am load in, we arrived at Highland Baptist Church to play for the first time ever in the great state of Florida. Somehow we managed to blow up all of our amps and spent most of the day running around town trying to obtain tubes and various repair materials. We have a running joke that the more things go wrong, the better the show will be and this was no exception. God was with us and the night was passionate and spirited.

Kris Hartman and our friends Already Taken hosted the evening and kicked off the night with a REALLY SOLID set. They are writing good songs and performing them with precision. The melodic and “in-tune” vocals really stood out. We are looking forward to hearing more from them in the near future!

Our set was a bit experimental for us as we only played one song from For All We Hope and debuted a brand new tune called “Home”. The energy was good and our new friends were very gracious and receptive.

Thanks for the hospitality and we are certainly looking forward to seeing all of our new friends again soon!

Williamsburg, KY

Today we got to hang out with a bunch of rowdy high school students at Williamsburg High School. Thanks for making us feel welcomed! You guys really came to jam, or you were excited to be out of class, or excited it was "Friday, Friday, Friday", or a combination of all the above. Either way it was a memorable experience for us.

Thanks to Tarrah Sexton and the staff at Williamsburg Ind. School district for being so helpful. It's great to see how much y'all care for the students at the school.

Also, thanks to Greg Gover and Josh Anderson with FCA for a terrific time of sharing and testimony and your continued support in building the Kingdom!

One more S/O to Forrest Coleman who rocked the keys with us for the first time today. He did magnificent, and even shared his story with with the students in the evening session!

We saw God working in the lives of many students, (some turning from destructive paths, some coming to faith in Jesus for the first time) but all of us leaving with a greater sense of wonder and awe towards or loving Savior.
